My Pregnancy Timeline – 1st, 2nd and 3rd Trimester

Well, where to start.. the first three months were always the hardest. The First Trimester was no fun and really hard for me. I felt sick all the time. Pregnancy nausea makes you sick to your stomach, even the sight of food will make you want to throw up all the time.

There weren’t many cravings during the first three months, in fact, I hated that I have to eat.

The best way I could describe my first trimester, it’s one long hangover !!

Then came The Second Trimester, it sure did ease up my morning sickness a little. Only actually this trimester your body starts to change and you start to show. Your hormonal level starts to balance and you’ll start to have a bit of energy again.

You will get the “so called pregnancy glow” and your hair would start to feel extra smooth and amazing. (Enjoy it while it last).

About my Cravings, all I craved for is dark chocolates and waffles. After every meal, I remember munching on chocolates always. Throughout my pregnancy, I didn’t have any particular cravings,

I eat, I throw up and I eat again.

But I made sure, I eat healthy too. To some extent…

Then came the most important and dangerous, The Third Trimester, I mentioned it’s dangerous because now you’re not allowed to do anything.

•You can’t sleep on your back or straight.

•You can’t eat because you’ll have heartburn all the time. Also, Stretch Marks, those tiny streaks of lines starts to appear when we enter the third trimester on our belly, thighs, hip, butt and also on our breast. It just makes our whole body itchy. (STRETCH NIL (HERBAL LOTION FOR PREVENTION OF PREGNANCY STRETCH MARKS) really worked wonders on my skin.

•You can’t wear any of your old clothes because nothing would fit you anymore.

• You will have to pee all the time..thanks to the increased blood flow and the pressure on your bladder from the growing uterus.

•You will eventually change into a rolling ball, with all the extra pounds you’ve gained.

In my case, I gained a lot of weight. My entire body was swollen. I put on a lot of water weight during my last trimester.

Even in my 7th month, I looked like I was already ready to pop.

The 9th month of Pregnancy is always challenging. You will face discomfort in every damn position. Now the belly would be huge and be getting a comfortable position to sit or sleep is always a struggle, which ends in sleepless nights.

Personally, I think, our body is just preparing us for all the future sleepless nights with our baby.

The lack of sleep and our super heavy body would always make us feel tired and clumsy.

About the Baby Movements, the baby starts to move by the end of the second trimester but during the 9th month, the movements would be so clear. You can actually feel those tiny little hands and feet kicking you always.

I had a lot of contractions during my last month, which is mostly like period cramps. Aches and pain all over the body. Any movement requires an effort when we are 9 months pregnant.

About my Weight gain/ weight loss, I was 89kgs when I went inside the labor ward.

Within two days postpartum I lost 10kgs. All the water weight started to shed.

And now, it took me a solid 12 months to lose another 15kgs…Ok, now stop calculating my weight!

I’m still not in the shape I want to be. But I look fine. The last few pounds are always the hardest to lose.

This is my 9 months Pregnancy Journey. Hope you all like it. Thank you so much for reading my blog.

If you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer them.

Yes, I still Breastfeed my baby girl. If you want to wean your baby, then substitute by giving him/her a bottle. Try rocking her to sleep instead of nursing. You can ask your husband to wake up with your baby if she/he wakes up in the middle of the night. Just for a few days till they understand no more boobs.
