My Everyday Hair Care Routine

Today I’m sharing my most requested post EVER!

All things hair care, girl!

After pregnancy, I also went through the whole “Postpartum Hairloss” phase. All kept asking so many questions on my social media about my Haircare routine.

Honestly, I was so careless after my pregnancy that I found more hair on the floor than on my head. It took me a while to understand how important it is to take proper care of our hair.

I’m going to break down the products I use, when and why along with a few tricks/techniques for healthy hair!

Rotating through shampoo and conditioner products is so important in order to reduce build up.

You may think that finding one product you love and stickin’ to it makes sense, but it’s in your hair’s best interest to have a rotation. Let’s say you like L’Oréal, you can stick with one brand – I’d just rotate through a couple of their offerings [volumizing one time, moisturizing the next].

Once I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried a couple new products, I honestly did see a difference in the health of my hair – mostly in the hair at my roots. I had much more volume and bounce which I personally think is tied to reducing the product build up.

So, let me break down the three brands I use for shampooing and conditioning my hair, along with what I love about each.

Makes hair straighter, smoother and controls frizz for up to 3 days. Tackles split ends, tames unruly hair and makes them a lot more manageable. It is suitable for both, natural as well as chemically treated hair. It has Argon oil known to tame fizziness, argon oil makes your hair more manageable and adds a beautiful, attractive shine.

This is such an amazing product. It clearly does what it states. It helps in hair growth and once applied it very cooling and refreshing to the hair.

The only main drawback is, it’s too EXPENSIVE.

I got this whole kit only once, since I was desperate to make my hair healthy. It is specially designed for noticeably thinning, fine, natural hair. It delivers denser-looking hair and a healthy shine while protecting the scalp and also helps to remove follicle-clogging sebum, fatty acids and inviromental residues from the scalp skin and hair.

At this moment I have been loving this new range from Wella Professional. It’s very light and gentle and nourishes the hair perfectly. Harnessing the powers of Camellia Oil and White Tea Extract, the lightweight formula gently eliminates impurities while delivering intense moisture to reveal soft, smooth locks from root to tip. Hair will feel deeply cleansed and rejuvenated with restored luminosity.

 DETANGLER – Tangle Teezer

Every woman should own proper detangling tools and products to reduce breakage. I’m not against the normal hair brushes but after using a lot of brushes I finally settled with Tangle Teezer. I even use one on my daughters hair.

Whether you need quick detangling in the elevator or your car or your cubicle or your date or practically anywhere, the compact styler and detangler comes absolutely handy. Tangle Teezer compact styler and detangler is the new gold standard for hi-voltage hair. An innovative hairbrush that is cute in size and big on style, it can be popped into your bag and pulled out to reboot hair in seconds. It has a removable cover to protect the patented and innovative teeth from fluff and dirt. Delivers a glossy finish to every style. Backbrushes brilliantly to give any look a quick boost. Then it undoes the backbrushing, quickly and painlessly.

I’m a sucker for a good voluminous hair . I actually have flat hair, but I use tricks and products to get volume.

L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Full Volume Mousse is the one I’m loving at the moment. Hands down, your hair will be crazily volumized. It’s just plain AMAZING.

I first apply a palm size amount of this mousse from root to end all through my hair. Make sure you section your hair so that you’re not just globbing it on your hairline and outside hair, get it mixed all in. I then comb my hair through to ensure it’s all mixed in even more.

Up until recently, my tools consisted of a Remington for flat ironing, a Philips Curling Wand and a blow dryer from Philips as well.

Tools are such a big investment that you can be weary on if they’re worth it.

Recently my amazing sister got GHD Gold Hair Straightener the from the US. And it’s truly a dream. It’s dang expensive !!!! But worth every penny.

I do blow dry my hair after every hair wash. And If I had to go out I straighten it roughly all over.

Aftercare is very important. Once a week introduce a hair mask in your hair routine. I have been loving the Wella Oil Reflections reboots mask. It is a Nourishing Mask For Luminous Hair And Has Ingredients Including Camellia Oil And White Tea Extract.

Leave On For 5 Minutes After Shampooing For Outstanding Results.

Also, try to apply coconut oil every other night or even 30 mins before hair wash. It helps the hair get hydrated and gives that natural shine.

SERUM – Luxe Oil

This might be the only product I have been using it for years straight. I LOVE LOVE this serum-cum-oil sooo very much. It is a remarkable, reconstructive elixir containing exquisite oils to give your hair a luxury makeover. SPs ultimate hair treat transforms dry brittle hair to high shine tresses in no time. Combined with the oil technology of three of the worlds nurturing and enriching oils, this magical formula creates the perfect combination for ultimate hair pampering. Dry, distressed or damaged hair will instantly benefit from just a few drops of this innovative and lightweight new oil from System Professional – the luxury label for hair.

So voila! It sounds like a lot of product and a huge process, but with great tools and products that perform, it’s pretty quick and my hair isn’t as damaged.
